Ice Cube apologizes to deceased actor for delaying new movie “Friday In Trouble”

Ice Cube apologizes to deceased actor for delaying new movie “Friday In Trouble”

He also handed over who was to blame.

Throughout 2019, Ice Cube triggered another Good Friday movie in progress. In May, BIG3 League co-founder shared as ESPN's The Jump that they were approaching production. “Yes, we are working on it. We've finished the script, we're getting studio notes and it's coming and going, ”said Cube of the fourth comedy franchise movie. “Get into preproduction and start hiring. It would be good if that happened on the 25th anniversary. That would be kind of… good. ”
However, things seemed to be stalled, causing some frustration for Cube and fans. During the celebration of John Witherspoon's life, Cube revealed that while writing the original film, he had Witherspoon in mind to play his father on screen because the actor reminded him of his real father. The rap mogul hoped the next movie would be finalized to work with the actor again, but he said the delay was the fault of New Line Cinema executives who rejected his screenplays.
“I apologize to my friend for not making the next movie. It's not my fault. Some stupid people from Hollywood and New Line Cinema, if you want to… ”Cube stopped talking as the audience laughed. “You can email (former president and chief operating officer of New Line Cinema) Toby Emmerich and (current president and chief art director of New Line Cinema) Richard Brener if you feel like me. I gave you idiots two scripts and you didn't want to do them. This is the real one. We were trying to make this movie for years and we couldn't. We have the other three, our memories and our love. My condolences to the family. ”
