Updated Makeup Routine + New Makeup Products

It has been awhile since I've done a makeup routine (actually 10 months to be exact... but who's counting, haha!) I've recently been using and loving quite a few new products to my makeup routine so I thought I'd share them with you guys and my thoughts on them! I already know I'm gonna talk a lot so let's get right to it!

Primer: Estee Edit Pore Vanishing Stick (c/o)// Concealer: Maybelline Instant Age Rewind (shade neutral), Essence Pure Nude (20 pure sand)// Foundation: Rimmel Stay Matte foundation (shade 201 soft beige)// Powder: Maybelline Master Fix Loose Powder (shade transluscent)// Blush: NYX Powder Blush [discontinued] (shade PB06 peach)// Contour: ELF Bronzer palette (contour palette)// Highlight: Estee Edit Beam Team (c/o)// Eyebrows: ELF Brow pencil (shade neutral brown)// Eyeshadow: NYX Love in Paris (shade Parisian Chic)// Mascara: Maybelline FalsiesStila Huge Extreme Lash// Lipstick: ColourPop Ulta Matte liquid lipstick (shade Shimmy)//

Face//

I recently was the Pore Vanishing stick from the Estee Edit and Influenster to try out and wasn't really in the market for a pore minimizing product. I have the Maybelline Baby Skin Pore Eraser and love it as it reduces my pores and mattifies my skin. I tried the stick out one day and I was blown away by how amazing it reduced my pores. I have a fairly deep one on my nose and it completely filled it on. My mom even noticed and asked what I put on my face because she didn't see that big pore. It's changed my pore game.

Next I apply my Maybelline under eye concealer to cover up my circles and brighten my face. I blend it in with my Real Techniques sponge which is 1000 times better than the Beauty Blender and a quarter of the cost!

Next I do my brows. I've been doing my brows for a couple of months now since I took a class from the brow queen the Anastasia Beverly Hills team and it just completes my makeup now. I can't believe I never use to do it! It frames my face and adds that final touch to my makeup. I do it before my foundation to help guide the rest of my makeup. I use the ELF eyebrow pencil in neutral brown to give them some color and shape, not too heavy though, then highlight/conceal/carve them out with the Essence Pure Nude concealer in sand. It's the perfect highlight shade for under the brow bone and conceals any redness, discoloration or hairs!

Once brows are done I got into foundation. You guys know I've been using my Rimmel Stay Matte in soft beige for forever and it's my go-to, holy grail foundation. It's inexpensive, lightweight (doesn't look or feel heavy or cakey), medium-full coverage and is mattifying. It's a win-win-win-win-win! I apply it with my fingers since it's a mousse texture then set it with my Maybelline Master Fix loose powder. This stuff blurs, mattifies, sets and just makes your skin look awesome. Once my face is set I apply my go-to blush, the NYX powder blush in peach. I actually just learned while putting together this post that they discontinued it and stores don't sell it anymore :( :(  I am SO bummed! It is the perfect shade for my skin and gives me the perfect blushed color and is matte which is a huuuge bonus! Guess I'll be making a trip to my local Ulta/Sephora to find a dupe for it.

Now it's time to contour! Contouring is one of the 'it' beauty trends thanks to the Kardashian's and Snapchat. I got into last year and have been trying different bronzers to contour with. I picked up this ELF bronzer palette from Target awhile back and fell in love with two shades that create the perfect contour. I use the bottom right to contour with, it's not too warm or too cool and gives that perfect sculpted, shadowed look. Then I use the top left to go under my contour color as a "highlight" color to really pop the contour. AND it's on sale for $3! You can get 4 really pigmented and just gorgeous bronzer shades. Such a steal!

I know the shades look really reddish but it's just the way the photographed up close. The photo after the Beam Team shows their true colors so much better!

In addition to the Pore Vanishing stick they also sent me the Beam Team liquid illuminizer. I am relatively new to highlighting/illuminating but love the glowy, celebrity feel that I get when I wear it. I never have tried a liquid illuminizer but was excited to try it. It's this gorgeous pinkey, golden shimmery color that gives the perfect highlight. Like it's soooo good. I'm obsessed and my highlighting game has been changed. It's a lot of product and a little goes a long way.

That's my face makeup! Nothing too overly complicated or anything. I have combination skin and tend to stick to mattifying products, the highlighter is the exception. Now onto the rest!

Eyes//

I am one of those girls, like many out there, that just has to have a new eyeshadow palette when in Target or Walmart or CVS or Ulta or wherever. Even though we have like 5 neutral eyeshadow palettes already that basically have the same colors in it..... #justgirlythings Anyways I added this NYX Paris in Love palette to my collection awhile back but rediscovered it again. It has 9 shades, all neutral ranging from matte to shimmery for an everyday eye look or dramatic smokey eye that are super pigmented. I love and use all of them but my favorites are the top row middle and the bottom row middle. The top one is a gorgeous shimmery golden color, perfect for an everyday day and the bottom one is a deep shimmery bronze perfect for a bronzey smokey eye.

I haven't been wearing eyeliner daily, only for nighttime or special events, so I make sure my lashes look super black and super long. I first use the Maybelline Falsies mascara which is my holy grail drugstore mascara to give a basecoat. It is the perfect formula, not too dry or too wet, gives great length, volume and separation to the lashes. Then I go in with my Stila Huge Lash mascara to amp it up and make them black black and add more volume. With both my lashes are super volumized and long and resemble false lashes which is the ultimate goal.

The finishing touch is lipstick. I talked about these liquid lipsticks awhile ago and promised a review. A review will come but I'm still finding the perfect combination for them. I'm really close and have been wearing the Colour Pop matte liquid in 'Shimmy' which is the perfect light pink, perfect for everyday. It's usually what I wear in my blog photos if you were wondering!

So that's it! That's my current makeup routine. I've definitely added more products and steps over the years as I learn more and get better with my makeup skills. A couple of years ago I never use to wear blush or lipstick now I do almost everyday, a year ago I never contoured, now I do, same with highlighting and my brows. Each step compliments the previous and the next and just gives a completed look, everything ties together and looks #flawless!

Thank you to Influenster and the Estee Edit for these beautiful makeup goodies in today's post. They were gifted to me for free, all opinions are my own and I am not making any commission off of them. Collaborations like this wouldn't be possible without the support of all my readers and followers so THANK YOU!

What beauty steps do you do now that you didn't use to? What new makeup goodies do I need to try? Share in the comments below! :)
