HM Straight Defining Brush Review Packaging

Ingredients:
Synthetic

My Experience with H&M Straight Defining Brush:

The brush comes in a black plastic zip locked packaging. The packaging is very basic and I would not recommend reusing the cover. It will tear off after few uses and also, the bristles will feather out every time when you pull it out of the packaging.

HM Straight Defining Brush Review Product Name

The brush itself is black in color and the bristles are in brown. The ferrule is matte black and the handle is glossy black. On the handle, one can see the brand logo and also, the kind of brush it is. It is all embossed in golden colour.

HM Straight Defining Brush Review Brush Head

The handle is sturdy and easy to work with. Over the period of time, the handle may look dull, due to wear and tear. But as we all know, the most important part is the bristles.

HM Straight Defining Brush Review Ferrule

The bristles are tightly packed and they are not angled. This brush is intended for filling eye brows. Normally, the brow brushes are angled, so that they can be held at ease and also, it is easier to apply in strokes. When the brush is angled, it is easier to reach the corners and also to create sharp edges. This is missing in the H&M brush.

HM Straight Defining Brush Review Bristles

The bristles also look shiny and quite synthetic. It screams that it is made of nylon or polyester. Just by touching the bristles, one can feel that it is not as soft as normal brushes do. The bristles are hard and do not flex easily. The bristles feel not so soft on the skin.

HM Straight Defining Brush Review Touching Bristles

The brush head is flat and does not pick up the power product aptly. It either picks up too much or too little. I have used the brush to apply only eyebrow powder to fill my brows and found that it was not the best. I find the free brush which comes with Essence eyebrow filler works much better than this.

HM Straight Defining Brush Review Bristles Density

The bristles do not get stained, which is good. But, they do shed slowly and steadily. Since it is synthetic, it is easy to maintain. I just wash it with some shampoo and air dry it.

Overall, this brush is not effective and I would not use it too. I am not sure how else I can use this brush. I would also not recommend it to any one.

Pros of H&M Straight Defining Brush:

  • Looks good.
  • Not expensive.
  • Tightly packed bristles.
  • Easy maintenance.

Cons of H&M Straight Defining Brush:

  • Nonreusable packaging.
  • Bristles shed.
  • Bristles are not very soft.
  • Bristles look and feel synthetic.
  • Does not pick the right amount of product.
  • Not angled.
  • Not easy to work with.

IMBB Rating: 2/5
