Adam Tyler's "Fade Into the Light" - Single Review

Ever since coming across Shattered Ice, the debut album by male pop artist Adam Tyler, my obsession with the good looking man has been one I have never tried to hide. With songs such as "Pull The Trigger", "Forgive Me" and "Like A Drug", the debut album was a well crafted effort that had people taking notice of his immense talents and devotion. For 2013, Tyler is ready to unleash a new era of music. An album is fast on the horizon and the artist is getting his fans ready with the release of his newest single, "Fade Into the Light", which had its premiere Wednesday on MuuMuse. The new song differs from its predecessors in many ways, but still holds the magic that we know is Tyler's. Featuring heartfelt lyrics, a dubstep breakdown and vocals that only keep improving, the single is another step in the right direction for the LA native.

With a soft intro, "Fade Into the Light" describes a bittersweet love story of never being able to keep hold of the one you desire most, only able to be with them in your dreams. The production for the track seems more complicated and polished that anything found on his debut with pulsating synths and dancefloor ready beats showing the signs of growth. "Seeing you so clearly when I close my eyes, I feel alive", Tyler sings on the electronic inspired number. The artist has always had a way with words, it is his strength and it is nice to see that he did not sacrifice his writing for a radio-friendly hit.

To be honest, when a short preview of the song was released I was scared of what the final product would sound like. I thought it would be a step back for Adam. Good thing I was wrong. "Fade Into the Light" is an excellent representation of an artist. Heartfelt lyrics carry the track as the robotic beats take it to an entirely different level. Personally, I could have done without the dubstep background, it takes the song back a couple of years, but the good certainly outweighs the tiny missteps. The new single, hopefully the lead from his new album, will be released through iTunes on Tuesday. Be sure to get yourself a copy. It is definitely AlbumConfessions approved!
